3h agoI loved everything about this show. It's exciting, sometimes phrenetic and stress full, and has great characters. I love the behind the scenes story about a great chef who takes over the family restaurant and strives to make it great. If you love food, great characters and a lot of action, this show is for you. Also, ignore the other critics who have a stick up where the sun don't shine about this, who think they are intellectuals, but are really too full of themselves to enjoy a different, raw, entertaining show.

4h agoTremendous show, great acting and as a foodie and an amateur chef I really like that they are realistic about the cooking process as well. And any restaurant office that has the complete set of Modernist Cuisine sitting in the corner gets my respect. Looking forward to future seasons.

11h agoAs mentioned by many, it is about a famous young chef in the elite culinary world who inherits the family's sandwich shop in a blue-collar section of Chicago. We binged the entire season, and although we were initially worried the intensity of the first episode would be throughout – it wasn't. Whew. The show aptly covers topics such as suicide, drug addiction, existential anxiety, brokenness, and work-family stress while running a small family restaurant – so yes, it's a comedy. It is a fantastic piece of storytelling as well as poignant, heartbreaking, heartwarming, and very intense, with richly drawn human stories and character arcs. Technically it is spectacular – directing, camera-work and editing are standouts. A sleeper and potential award winner. Highly Recommended.

12h agoA gritty, raw look into what running a restaurant is like. The plot and character development is well told.
-
21h agoOutstanding, Started watching the first episode at around 10pm and ended up finishing the entire season that evening. A++

2d agoThe show was authentic, relatable, realistic, funny, dramatic, heartwarming, and so much more! I am so HOPEFUL there are many seasons to come.
-
2d agoCan't wait for season 2
-
3d agoA Drama packed show speckled with dark comedy revolving around a loose story about people learning to work together to support a struggling business in Chicago .
-
3d agoStop yelling for no reason…. Everyone keeps yelling and cursing when there's literally nothing going on.. I think the director and the writers wanted to make it seem like a lot happens? But not much happens it's just loud and annoying. Especially this Richie character won't stop yelling at everyone and it's not funny or interesting. This show is just nothing and annoying.

3d agoI absolutely love this season of the show, possibly the best season of all. Excited to see where the show goes in the future.
