Despite being a thinly veiled piece of environmentalist propaganda, Happy Feet is imaginative and fun. The story follows an emperor penguin named Mumble who has a gift for dancing but is shunned by his fellow penguins for his rebellious ways. Elijah Wood, Brittany Murphy, Robin Williams, Hugh Jackman, and Nicole Kidman form an all-star cast that give excellent performances. And the music is especially well-done, creating several new and interesting complications and covers of a number of pop songs. The animation however, is a little crude and could use some work. But the main problem is the story, which starts out alright but completely falls apart in the last act. Whole sections of plot appear to be missing and logic errors abound. Still, even with all of its problems Happy Feet is a charming and entertaining film.

It's an animated film that though it tries hard, it is difficult to like or enjoy it.

Nothing than an eco film that makes people think about the environment (and made me cry) Great numbers and cute animation but it's somewhat racist and too Americanised. Brilliant voice actors: Tim, Elijah, Nicole â(TM)¥
